Terms and conditions

1. General

These general terms and conditions apply to all services of CTD Taxi, based in Mechelen, Belgium. By using our services, you agree to these general terms and conditions.

2. Tenders, reservations and confirmations

2.1 Tenders received by CTD Taxi must be approved in writing.

2.2 Reservations can be made by telephone, e-mail or via our website.

2.3 A reservation is only final after confirmation by CTD Taxi.

2.4 CTD Taxi reserves the right to refuse reservations without giving reasons.

3. Payments

3.1 Fares are inclusive of VAT for private customers and are communicated in advance or are available on request.

3.2 Rates are exclusive of VAT for business customers and will be communicated in advance or are available on request.

3.3 Payments can be made in cash or by bank card or electronic means of payment. Business customers who have an agreement with CTD Taxi can request rides on invoice.

3.4 CTD Taxi reserves the right to require a deposit for certain journeys, such as airport transfers or long-distance journeys.

3.5 During New Year, Christmas and festivals, customary fares do not apply.

4. Cancellations and changes

4.1 Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled ride.

4.2 For cancellations less than 24 hours before the ride, CTD Taxi reserves the right to charge 50% of the fare.

4.3 Changes in reservations will be handled on the basis of availability.

5. Customer responsibilities

5.1 Customers are required to comply with the driver’s instructions.

5.2 Customers are responsible for correctly providing address details and departure times.

5.3 Wearing a seat belt is required by law. Any fines for not wearing the seat belt will be recovered from the customer.

5.4 Customers are responsible for the correct and safe packaging of luggage and goods.

5.5 Child seats are available for an additional fee of €2.50 per seat. These must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.

5.6 Costs to vehicles due to damage or soiling by the customer will be charged to the customer. In case of vomiting in the vehicle, CTD Taxi may charge €150, payable immediately after the ride.

6. Responsibilities of CTD Taxi

6.1 CTD Taxi aims to provide punctual and professional transportation.

6.2 CTD Taxi is not liable for delays due to force majeure, traffic conditions or technical failures.

6.3 CTD Taxi reserves the right to deploy a substitute driver or vehicle.

7. Luggage and Goods Transport

7.1 Customers are responsible for packing luggage and goods correctly and safely.

7.2 CTD Taxi is not liable for loss, damage or theft of personal belongings.

7.3 Dangerous or prohibited goods may not be transported.

8. Safety and conduct

8.1 Smoking, eating and drinking in the vehicles is not allowed without the driver’s permission.

8.2 Customers who behave inappropriately or aggressively may be denied access to CTD Taxi’s services.

9. Complaint Procedure

9.1 Complaints can be made in writing via email to info@comfortdrive-taxi.be.

9.2 CTD Taxi aims to respond to complaints within 10 working days.

Privacy policy

10.1 CTD Taxi processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

10.2 Data is used exclusively for the provision of our services and is not shared with third parties without the customer’s consent.

Dispute resolution

11.1 These general conditions are exclusively governed by Belgian law.

11.2 The court of the district of Mechelen is competent to settle any disputes.
